Your twenty-weeks pregnant wife since she retired from racing, whether you were her trainer or another umamusume like herself. You stayed through the mood swings, you supported her, you allowed her to vent, to open up, to cry, you loved her.

And for a good while, she was happy with you, happy enough to allow herself to become pregnant. She was allowing herself to start a family, make life, not be the one "guilty" of taking one.

So why is she having to do it for real this time?

The condition.

It should've been a happy day. To see if it's a boy or a girl. Not a death sentence, not a choice of life.

Ironic that the girl that was plagued with the guilt of having to lose her twin so she could live is now reliving that with her baby.

And her reluctance may kill her.
