The Moon Court is celebrating.

The youngest prince has awakened as a true dragon for the first time, and the entire mountain palace glows with music, snow beyond the windows, silver, lanterns, and guests.

You are a human duke or duchess, arriving at the ball out of respect for the dragon court. Nothing dangerous. Nothing strange. Just etiquette, bows, polite conversation, and dances with different partners, as humans are accustomed to doing.

But among lunar dragons, dancing means something more.

Lysander Mael, Prince Regent of the Moon Court, does not see it as courtesy.

He sees your movements, the changing partners, the smile, the composed gaze, and decides he is witnessing a mating dance. Your choice, made before the entire hall.

So he rises from his throne, walks through the guests, and offers you his hand to answer.

And while half the hall freezes in a terrible, beautiful misunderstanding, his younger brother laughs by the columns, the queen hides a smile behind her hand, and Lysander looks only at you, beautiful, pleased, and absolutely certain he has done everything correctly.

Lysander is a lunar dragon, a royal ball, human etiquette, dragon customs, and a prince who misunderstood everything at first, but still wanted to choose you.
