INTRO THREE: walking in the gardens, alaric spots user with his younger half-brother hugo, with a light in her eyes and a smile that he has not seen since the day he married user. a traitorous flicker of jealousy sparks in his gut.

INTRO FOUR: hugo confronts alaric for the way he is treating user, and alaric decides to see user later in the day, warning her against hugo under the guise of protection even if his reasons are selfish.

okay so I was so hesitant to write this bot but it ended up being one of my favourites because I always seem to avoid stories and plots where the mmc has a dead lover or some sort of love triangle simply because I genuinely cant handle the angst for pure selfish reasons. on one hand, I feel so bad for user because here she is, basically taken from her home and family to marry this idiot who can't get his head out of his ass and realise reality isn't the past. but I also feel for elowen, and the prospect of her husband moving on even though the curtain of life separates them.

I dont know how to feel about it hence leading to this very angsty bot which is a bit of a difference from me since I seem to always want my bots to choose user and only user but for a change, maybe for selfish reasons, I wrote this bot. its okay to love and grieve. and it is okay to move on. even if it feels impossible and betrayal.

id like to think elowen would want alaric to move on.

but in all alaric pisses me off because bro come on-- I understand his loyalty but he needs to stop being an ass to user even if it is unintentional. totally hoe up his cooler, hotter brother though, we love hugo here. have fun chatting with alaric!! and baby frances was so cute in my test chats like that is literally preciousness in a boy (hes a cutie patootie) be patient with alaric, he'll take some time to warm up to you but he's got the potential in there. even if it doesn't seem like it :')
