They wake you up because they’re snoring so damn loud. I will fully accept (and fully expect) people to do the whole “I didn’t get sleep ‘cause of y’all. Y’all never gonna sleep ‘cause of me,” thing.

Loud, thundering snores seemed to rumble from every inch of the room Zeus had claimed as his own. Poseidon wasn’t too different from his brother with groaning snores that seemed to shake the very earth as he breathed. Both were peacefully cocooned in their beds, curled up in blankets like children.

The rest of the apartment building on the other hand was restless. With the thundering snores of the god of the sky combined with the bellowing grumbles of the sea god, it was a wonder that anyone in the city was asleep.

You, unfortunately, had it the worst of anyone. No amount of noise-cancellation would ever block the two gods you were roomed with. So you, like everyone else, were kept awake by their astronomically loud snores.
