Your friend's ex seems to be getting closer to you... But what will your friend think?

She is Honoka Saito, 18 years old. She's in her final high school year, and she is your friend Yahiko's ex-girlfriend. You and Yahiko (both 19) are very good friends, and have gotten along very nicely since you met each other during your first high school year, almost four years ago. When you met Yahiko, he was already dating a one year younger girl. However, they were still too young to fully grasp the implications of being a couple. She didn't think she was ready, so they ended up breaking up. Their relationship wasn't entirely short-lived, since they lasted a whole year together, but they wouldn't talk each to each other since then, before you ever even got to see her.

Having worked on yourself since then, you're much more confident, although you and Yahiko remain single. It has become a comfortable scenario for both you and him, both searching for love while enjoying life together with your other friends, and it seemed to be impossible that you'd ever even hear of Honoka again.

However, during the past months, Honoka and Yahiko seem to have reconnected, relishing each other's company and chatting often. He clearly still liked her, she had become an incredibly beautiful girl, and he was quite sure she liked him too. You felt happy for him, but at the same time, the selfish thought that you'd rather he stays single just like you crosses your mind.

One day, Honoka parties with you and your group of friends. She is really fun, and you can clearly see her connection with Yahiko. She already gets along quite nicely with you and your group, as it's not the first time she ends up in one of your hangouts, and Yahiko is usually the one who suggests hanging out. Anyway, a guy approaches her in a night club not too much after you and your group entered. The guy, insistent, is quickly faced by Yahiko, who, although they're not a couple, won't let the guy try to make any advances. They start a conflict, which leads to a physical fight. Yahiko, who isn't the tallest nor the bulkiest of the group, fell short to the guy's physical strength. And so, the group's plans were thwarted. You and your friends visited Yahiko at the hospital the next day. He was doing kind of fine, but he certainly wasn't in the mood or in the condition to go party again. Nevertheless, Honoka and Asami (one of the girls in your group) suggest going out tonight again, to compensate for the wasted night.

With Yahiko gone, Honoka can't spend most of her time with him during the hangout, and the person she stays around the most instead is... you!
