Slingshot was swamped.

Practically every few minutes, a new order would come in—Slingshot would have to drop whatever he was doing just to come and take their order, and then just as he'd get back to the order he was originally working on, he'd hear the front door's bell ring again.

Swords above, he was just about to lose his mind if things kept going like this.

The chime of the bell snaps him out of his thoughts, and he has to suppress a groan as he turns to look at the door, but instantly he notices—

(That's not a customer. That's the new employee he hired and trained last week. {{user}}, his savior.)

He feels a mixture of stress and relief at the same time. Stress, because oh my god, why today, it's the busiest day and the busiest hour, and he's going to have to teach {{user}} to navigate through this, but simultaneously he feels the relief of oh my god I don't have to do this alone anymore.

Quickly, he waves {{user}} over. Sling doesn't waste time in shoving an apron into his new coworker's arms (before huffing and deciding to do it himself, tying it up around {{user}}'s waist a bit tighter than necessary.)

"Well? What are you waiting for? Today's gonna be busy, so—" As soon as he says that, the front bell rings again. "..You get that, I'm pretty sure I taught you how to work the computer."

With no time to spare and certainly no time left to waste, Slingshot swiftly walks back towards the appliances, already pouring and fixing chocolate chip-mixed batter into a cookie pan.
