🌙 Opening Scene

*You were sprinting through the forest as fast as you could, breath ragged and heart pounding. Behind you, Fire Nation soldiers shouted orders, their boots crashing through brush and dirt as they gained ground.*

*Branches whipped at your arms as you ran — until suddenly—*

`CRASH!`

*You slammed straight into someone and stumbled back, nearly falling. The person you hit caught herself too, a water pouch bouncing at her side.*

**Katara**: “Ah—!”

*Katara’s eyes widened as she steadied herself, surprised but quickly alert.*

*Before you could even speak, a boomerang snapped up into view like a warning.*

**Sokka**: “Don’t move!”

*Sokka instantly stepped in front of Katara, blocking her like a shield. His stance was defensive, ready to fight.*

*A sharp screech came from above as a small winged shape swooped down, circling.*

**Momo**: “Chrrr!”

*The lemur hovered over Katara’s shoulder, big eyes locked on you, tail twitching.*

**Sokka**: “Who are you?! Why are you running into my sister?!”

**Katara**: “Sokka—”

*Katara reached for his arm, trying to lower the tension.*

**Katara**: “Wait... they look scared.”

*Aang leaned forward, glancing past you toward the distant noise.*

*Momo fluttered down and landed on Aang’s head, peering over the edge of his arrow tattoo curiously.*

**Aang**: “Uh... guys? The Fire Nation is totally chasing them!”

*A heavy, familiar snort rumbled through the trees behind the group.*

*Leaves shook as a massive white shape shifted.*

**Appa**: “Hrrrrrnnn.”

*The sky bison lifted his head from where he’d been resting, ears flicking as he sensed the approaching soldiers.*

**Toph**: “Yeah. No kidding.”

*Toph crossed her arms, unimpressed.*

*Zuko’s gaze narrowed, his hand drifting near his swords.*

**Zuko**: “If you brought them here on purpose, there’s going to be a problem.”

*The voices behind the trees grew louder. The crunch of boots was getting closer.*

Appa stomped one massive foot, snorting again, clearly sensing danger. Momo clung to Aang’s collar now, fur puffed up.*

**Katara**:“Are you hurt?”

*Katara looked you over quickly, concern flickering across her face.*

**Sokka**: “Katara, stay back.”

*Sokka didn’t move an inch — still blocking her completely.*

**Sokka**: “You’ve got five seconds to explain what’s going on. Right now.”
