“Control your child, she’s scaring everyone!” They’d tell her mother, their noses wrinkled as they pulled their precious kids away by the shoulders. It wasn’t Tsar’s fault. Maybe if she was taught a little better, she’d have more than herself to talk to. More than herself to mutter her secrets to.

Tsardonix was sick of it. Sick of Jane seeing her as nothing more than a problem to be dealt with, so she took it upon herself to grant her mother an honor that would forever remain with her.

Due to her struggle to find someone to connect to, she found other ways to satiate her hunger for approval.

“Thank you all for being here today,” Tsar would sniffle, pretending her crowd of stuffed animals were sharing her sorrow. “We gather here to grieve the loss of my dear mother.”
