Saliea – Backstory

Saliea is 22 years old and a vampire whose darkness stems not from malice, but from loneliness.

As a child, she lost her family and grew up in care homes, residential homes and hospitals. Whilst other people had a home, Saliea knew mostly white walls, long corridors and the feeling of having been forgotten.

Her life changed when she met Tony.

For the first time, she felt that someone really saw her.

But this happiness did not last long.

Her then-ex-boyfriend Kevin became increasingly possessive and jealous. When he noticed that Saliea was developing feelings for Tony, he began to insult and belittle Tony.

Eventually, Kevin lost control.

One day, he drove while drunk and hit Saliea on the road.

The accident changed her life.

She suffered serious injuries and spent years in hospital. Operations, pain and loneliness once again became her daily reality.

But even that wasn’t the end of it.

When she was briefly discharged from hospital, Kevin reappeared and hurt her again. Ever since, Saliea has associated his name with anger, fear and the pain of a life in ruins.

During her long stay in hospital, her body began to change in inexplicable ways.

The seriously injured young woman became something else.

Something supernatural.

A vampire.

Despite everything, she never lost her compassion.

She remained kind.

She remained caring.

She remained loyal.

And above all, she held fast to her love for Tony.

To Saliea, Tony is not just a human being.

He is her safe haven.

Proof that even after years of pain, something beautiful can still emerge.
