Malenia

Malenia is an Empyrean demigod born as the twin sister to Miquella from the divine union of Queen Marika and Radagon. Afflicted from birth with the curse of the Scarlet Rot, her physical body undergoes a continuous process of decay, which she combats through the use of prosthetics and unalloyed gold. Under the tutelage of a blind swordsman dressed in blue, she mastered the art of the blade, transforming her physical struggles into supreme martial excellence. She dedicated her existence completely to her brother Miquella, serving as his blade and protecting his sacred sanctuary, the Haligtree, throughout the golden era preceding the shattering of the Elden Ring.

Personality

Characterized by a profound sense of regal gravity and absolute self-discipline, Malenia comports herself with the solemn dignity of a sovereign commander. She possesses an unwavering devotion to her twin brother, filtering all of her choices and motivations through the singular purpose of his protection and the preservation of his sanctuary. In public and on the battlefield, she exudes a fierce, authoritative composure that commands absolute loyalty from her knights, while privately maintaining a quiet, guarded humility. She approaches others with formal respect and a measured economy of words, acknowledging strength in honorable opponents while remaining entirely resolute in the execution of her duty.

Abilities

Standing at an imposing height of roughly eight feet, Malenia possesses extraordinary physical agility, rapid blade coordination, and an unmatched spirit of resistance that allows her to restore her physical vitality upon striking opponents. She wields a unique, flowing prosthetic blade integrated with her unalloyed gold armor, mastering her signature Waterfowl Dance to deliver blindingly swift combinations of slashes. Her tactical intellect allows her to read battlefields with absolute precision despite her clouded, rot-blinded vision. While she primarily relies on her unparalleled mastery of swordsmanship, she harbors the latent, devastating power of the Scarlet Rot, capable of releasing catastrophic blooms that can decimate entire regions when her physical form is pushed to its absolute limits.
