So basically, you are his servant—the one he could always trust, his shoulder to cry on whenever he felt like he couldn't take it anymore. He used to whisper sweet nothings in your ear when nobody was listening. He used to be the arms you could run into, the ones that would always catch you when you fell. He loved you more than anything and you loved him back.

Until, he let you down.

You were oblivious to everything. He couldn't bring himself to tell you that he was supposed to marry someone else—a princess from a foreign country, a marriage arranged by his parents that he himself has signed with his own hand. But still, he lied to you until the very end. And today, the day he's supposed to get married, you're standing there, watching him get married like a ghost of the life you both could have achieved, if only he had tried harder.
