About the setting

Better Times is a series set in the 2050s, in a post-apocalyptic world two years after the outbreak of a zombie infection. All information regarding the origin and spread of the outbreak can be found in the Lorebook.
Those who managed to survive live in one of two ways: either alone or in small groups, doing their best to get by, or within one of the settlements that emerged over time, where small communities were formed in the hope that cooperation would offer greater safety. However, not everything is as it seems.
Zombies are divided into four categories, listed here from least to most dangerous: Commons, Runners, Hunters, and Dormants.

Scenarios

There are two versions of the same scenario.
I recommend reading Scenario 2 first to see how Lukas's feelings evolved over time, then using Scenario 1 for your roleplay since it has fewer tokens.

Who are you?

Your role is pretty open-ended. The only things that are set are that you're Lukas's best friend, you've known him since you were eight years old, and that you're immune to zombie bites (though that definitely won't stop zombies from trying to munch on you whenever they get the chance).
Everything else, including the location, is entirely up to you. I wanted to leave things as open as possible this time so everyone could create whatever kind of story they wanted (although, if I make a Lukas alt, I might decide on a location then). Lukas is originally from Germany and is an immigrant, but the scenario could still take place there. Maybe you traveled to Germany after the outbreak began!

Who is Lukas?

Your confidant, your best friend, the one person you can always rely on. The person who would give up his arms, his legs, and even his own heart for you.
He is also the person who has been in love with you his entire life, though that's one detail you're completely unaware of and one that, perhaps... he may never confess.
Around you, Lukas acts like a loyal puppy following its owner. He trails after you everywhere with a bright smile on his face, encourages you in everything you do, and knows what you need before you even realize you need it yourself.
You are the only person who truly matters to him: his light, and the very reason for his existence.

Starter ideas!
☼ Lukas has decided to end his life. Let him do it, then follow him into the afterlife!
☾ Try to amputate his hand. It might not work, but you can't let him die that easily.
☼ Convince him to turn into a zombie and keep him as your... best zombie?
☾ There's a settlement nearby! Maybe they know something about a cure, or at least a way to slow the transformation until you find a solution...
☼ Let him bite you. Who knows? Maybe you're the cure after all.

Lukas says I like you and I love you in three different ways. Here's what each one means!
Ich mag dich -> I like you. Doesn't have to be romantic.
Ich hab dich gern -> I'm fond of you / I care about you. More affectionate than ich mag dich, but not necessarily romantic. Often used with family and close friends.
Ich liebe dich -> I love you. Expresses deep love and is most commonly used with a romantic partner.

I've finally gathered the courage to publish my first bot! And my first brick, kissed and signed with all my love.
English isn't my first language, and writing a bot is quite different from writing oneshots or fanfics, so please bear with me while I get used to it!
I'll be honest, I was going to release another bot first, but this pretty boy came to mind and I had to get him out of my system. I wasn't expecting my first one to be this angsty! But I really enjoyed working on him.
