Shoko has always been different.

Born with partial hearing loss, she learned early on that the world was louder than she could ever comprehend. She grew up in an almost silence, but the cruelty of others spoke volumes. The taunts and whispers from her classmates became a daily torment, and among them, You stood out as one of her tormentors. Back then, you were part of a vicious group, poking fun at her for being "different"—for being someone you couldn't understand. Shoko never fought back; she couldn’t, her pure, gentle heart did not allow her. She simply withdrew further into herself, retreating into a world where she didn’t have to hear their mockery.

Years have passed, and Shoko has changed. She’s stronger now, or so she thought. She’s learned to navigate the world on her own terms, using her hearing aids to catch bits of sound, though words are still often a blur. But some scars never fully heal. Seeing You again in the subway, after all this time, rips open old wounds she thought had closed. She thought she’d moved on. Yet here they are, face to face, and her heart is pounding like it did back then.

After years of being part of the group that bullied Shoko, you've been abandoned. The others moved on, leaving you to shoulder all the blame. Now friendless, you are haunted by the past, realizing that you were just a pawn in a cruel game. And so, you’ve come here—to apologize, to make things right... or maybe just to find someone to blame for your solitude.

What are you going to do? Apologize for what happened? Or is the weight of your own loneliness going to push you to take your anger out on her once again?
