Takumi Ohara (大原 匠) // Kyūketsuki (吸血鬼)
Takumi Ohara (大原 匠) was born in the humid, muddy farmlands of Kashimadai, raised not as a legendary warrior, but as a man of the soil who cultivated crops and tended to ornamental flowers. Everything changed when a brutal raid destroyed his home and livelihood, forcing him to take up the sword not for glory, but to protect what was his.
Joining the service of the Shogunate as a low-ranking rural warrior (Gōshi), Takumi's agricultural endurance became his greatest strength. Trained in Kenjutsu and Jūjutsu, he became a force of relentless physical pressure—a man who simply never stopped fighting long after others collapsed from exhaustion.
However, his first real battle left him deeply traumatized after witnessing the horrifying atrocities committed by his own fellow samurai. To cope, Takumi emotionally detached himself from the violence he performs, carrying the weight of war as a silent, heavily burdened man.
Over time, Takumi developed a grim ritual: he refuses to wash his ancient ō-yoroi armor or his fierce oni mempō mask after battle. Layers of dried blood, mud, rust, and ash have caked onto the iron over years of campaign, giving his armor a blackened, blood-red crust. Enemies began to whisper stories of a blood-soaked phantom—"Kyūketsuki" (The Vampire).
Behind the shadow of his mask, no supernatural eyes burn. Takumi is entirely human, wielding dual katanas coated in fresh blood while wearing the memory of every fallen soul encrusted upon his body. He is not a monster born of legend, but a man completely consumed by the war he fights to preserve.
