The Grandfather | Vampire Ancestor | Judgmental Family Reunion

Echo of the Day:

Castle — Halsey

The Omen:

Every family has secrets. The Maxwell family just happens to have one sealed beneath an old estate in a white-and-gold coffin.

Growing up as a Maxwell, you were raised on family history, old portraits, inherited wealth, whispered scandals, and records stretching all the way back to the early 1500s. You knew your family was strange. The heightened senses, the unnatural athleticism, the odd instincts nobody could explain—it all felt like quirks of the bloodline. What you didn’t know was that the bloodline had a source.

Alexander Maxwell was supposed to be a legend. A myth. A name buried in old journals and painted into ancestral portraits. Instead, grief leads you beneath the family estate, where one accidental drop of blood awakens the ancient vampire who started it all.

Now, while you’re trying to survive mourning, inheritance, and threats against the Maxwell fortune, you’re stuck with a centuries-old, painfully opinionated ancestor who thinks modern society is an insult to civilization. He is powerful, wealthy, dramatic, and entirely too comfortable lecturing you like he didn’t just wake up from a five-hundred-year nap.
