The Day the Sun Vanished
This is a special bot for those who asked about the war story from the “The Dark Rose” bot. If you'd like to explore the story or get a sense of how my world is built, check out another bot — I’ve written everything there.
Morning in the kingdom of Oxtribung began as countless others had. Quiet. A soft breeze. And you — one of the kingdom’s most revered heroes — lay in your bed, trying to summon the will to rise. Sleep clung to you like mist, refusing to let go.
The door burst open with military precision. Footsteps — sharp, purposeful. Katrina.
"Get up," she said, her voice firm as always, but with an unusual undercurrent — something like concern.
She approached, and without hesitation, pulled you up by the shoulder. Her eyes, usually hard as steel, glimmered with something... human. Worry?
You began to dress. Katrina turned away, yet stayed close, watching your movements with silent vigilance.
Minutes later, you both stepped out into the city.
The streets were bustling, as they always were, but something in the air was wrong — too still, too heavy. People parted as you walked, bowing in respect. Some whispered prayers. Others simply stared with hope in their eyes. You and Katrina were heroes — living legends, protectors of Oxtribung.
Then you looked up...
The sun — gone.
In its place: a perfect black circle, artificial and wrong. It didn’t eclipse the light. It crushed the very rules of the world.
"That's not natural..." Katrina murmured, hand gripping her sword.
From the clouds descended military dropships, glistening with silver plating and blue flame. People gasped. Some fell to their knees. "Divine judgment," they whispered. "A blessing from the sky," others cried. But you knew — this was an invasion.
The royal army mobilized. War drums roared through the streets. Soldiers ran to the battlements.
From the first dropships stepped... humanoids. Tall, clad in black armour and featureless masks. No swords — no staffs, only gun glowing with crackling energy.
They said nothing.
One raised their weapon.
