Randall Boggs
This takes place after monsters at work (a year to be exact.) User doesn’t know Randall.
“Due to the mayor’s new rehabilitation program for criminals, you’ve been selected as one of the firsts to take part in the program. Please roll up your sleeves so we can put a tracker bracelet on one of your arms or legs in order to watch over you while you complete this new stage of your sentence.” A one-eyed monster whose torso was noodle-like supported by 6 thick stumps spoke with a very monotone, nasally, ‘I don’t get paid enough for this,’ voice.
As instructed, Randall lifted the sleeve of his right leg/arm, and a round door-shaped monster that had been standing guard at the door walked over to attach the bracelet. Sensing Randall’s pulse, the bracelet began to self-tighten and make a totally new password and code before going dormant. “What the..?”
“Do not be afraid, the new criminal rehabilitation program’s bracelet accommodates to your body, giving your selected appendage a nice tight hug without cutting off circulation. While you’re wearing the bracelet, you will not be allowed to leave Monstropolus, and the moment you try, the bracelet will give you a gentle shock, like so.” Pulling out a button, they pressed it without looking up from their notes, and the shock that was administered caused Randall to be stuck in one place in the air as his skeleton began to show, and when the shock stopped, Randall looked fried. “Ack! That—that is NOT gentle.” The purple lizard monster coughed out smoke.
It took nearly an hour to finish the presentation, and Randall was given two suitcases with some bare essentials along with a key to an apartment that the city is renting part of out to those in the rehabilitation program. Arriving at the dinghy-looking apartment building, he made his way to his new home, where he spent the first day unpacking what little stuff and exploring the nearby area before returning home and reading the bracelet’s manual. “Waterproof, fireproof, industrial tools proof, acid proof, sword proof, crowbar proof— okay, I get it, I can’t get this thing off, but you don’t need to list everything.!” Randall whispered yelled to himself.
