Age of Wild Mana - RPG
Basic Lore 📜
Valthera is the only known continent ruled by humanity—a vast land shaped not by peace, but by power.
Centuries ago, it was a single unified kingdom under one crown. That era ended with a divine conflict between the gods. When the defeated gods were cast out, they unleashed wild mana upon the world as an act of vengeance. This foreign, unstable force corrupted animals, twisting them into monsters and triggering a catastrophe remembered as the Monster Tide. Entire regions were destroyed, and the royal family itself perished in the chaos.
Humanity would have fallen—if not for the intervention of the victorious gods.
They chose several humans and granted them the ability to wield mana. These individuals became the first wizards, leading the fight against the monsters and restoring order to the continent. Over generations, their descendants formed powerful bloodlines, eventually becoming the noble houses that rule Valthera today.
With no royal family left to claim the throne, the continent was divided among these bloodlines. The strongest of them rose as the four ducal houses—Umbra, Verdantis, Solmire, and Gravemont. Instead of crowning a new king, they established the Senate of Valthera, a system where the four houses govern their own territories while deciding major continental matters together.
Officially, Valthera remains a single united nation.
In reality, it is a fragile balance between powerful factions.
.
The World Today 🗺️
The continent is divided into four dominant regions, each controlled by a ducal house:
House Umbra (West): Masters of shadow, secrecy, and information
House Verdantis (East): Keepers of life, healing, and stability
House Solmire (Southeast): Lords of light, fire, and authority
House Gravemont (Southwest): Embodiments of strength, earth, and endurance
At the center of the continent lie the Ashlands—a barren, lifeless region where the capital of the old kingdom once stood, now reduced to ruins during the Monster Tide. It remains a dangerous zone where wild mana lingers more strongly than anywhere else.
Beyond the northern mountain range lies a completely separate world—frozen lands inhabited by tribes who never inherited mana and live outside the influence of the noble system.

Mana and Wizards ✨
Mana is the foundation of power in Valthera.
A wizard is simply a human born with the ability to use mana. Rather than casting structured spells, wizards impose their intent and will onto reality. However, mana is not omnipotent and follows natural limitations:
The stronger the target, the harder it is to affect directly
Complex effects require proper causality and understanding
Efficiency improves with knowledge and control
Power depends on mana capacity and bloodline
For example, forcing someone to “fall” may work on weaker beings, but against another wizard it requires overwhelming power. Creating fire and directing it is far more effective than attempting to ignite a target instantly.
Over generations, mana has become tied to bloodlines. Some families developed specialized affinities, making certain forms of magic easier and more efficient. These are known as bloodline abilities.
.
Social Structure 📃
Society in Valthera is built entirely around mana:
Pureblood / High / Mid / Low Rank Nobles: Determined by mana capacity and bloodline purity
Knights: Wizards without bloodline abilities, serving noble houses
Commoners: Humans without mana, holding no real power
Noble houses are structured hierarchically:
Ducal Houses – rulers of entire regions
Count Houses – major subordinate families
Viscount Houses – regional administrators
Baron Houses – minor nobles controlling towns
While nobles claim to protect humanity, their world is filled with rivalry, ambition, and internal conflict. Alliances shift, duels are common, and wars between houses are not rare.
.
Monsters and Wild Mana 🧿
Monsters are created when animals are exposed to wild mana, causing their bodies to mutate in order to contain it. Their strength depends on how much wild mana they absorb.
Weak monsters can be handled by skilled mercenaries
Stronger ones require knights
The most dangerous demand intervention from high-ranking nobles
If a monster’s mana is not absorbed after death, it may transform into a wraith, an even more dangerous entity.
Monsters appear across the continent, but are most concentrated in the Ashlands, where wild mana remains unstable and abundant.
.
The Balance of Power ⚔️
Despite the constant threat of monsters, the greatest danger in Valthera is not external—it is human nature.
The noble houses maintain control through strength, influence, and bloodline superiority. While they cooperate through the Senate when necessary, each house pursues its own interests.
Power is everything.
And in a world shaped by mana, those who lack it are left with only one choice:
Survive under those who possess it.

Author's note 📝
Hey everyone, I hope you like the new style of character bio. I spent a lot of time perfecting it all. Well... maybe except the list of side characters (it could be better, but whatever - I was too tired after everything).
.
As for the descriptions of the lore and worldbuilding, I decided to simplify them and let you explore all aspects as you dive deeper into your chats. Most of the content is stored inside Lorebooks, so don’t worry about the small number of tokens - there’s much, much more...
.
Finally - the most important thing. I know I’ve done this many times, but I want to apologize. I broke some promises made to my followers yet again, which I am really, really sorry about. I just can’t force myself to create a scenario I’m not passionate about (especially since this whole account and chatbot creation is just a hobby for me). I was wrong about myself, which led to making promises I couldn’t keep. Although you are more than welcome to give me suggestions, I can’t guarantee I will use them. I’m most comfortable hopping on from time to time and just doing my own thing.
.
Ah right, there is also an announcement to make. I will be moving abroad next month for financial reasons (gotta earn some money to finally buy my own place and save up for retirement). I don’t know how my life will change over the next year or how much spare time I will have. This might even be the last chatbot I ever publish. So just in case the worst happens - thank you all for bringing me joy and putting a smile on my face over the past 1.5 years. Your positive comments really helped me through some tough moments. I wish you all the best, and I hope you continue to have fun exploring the beautiful world of RPG chatbots.
