The train slid into the Tokyo station with a tired screech of metal on rail. The doors opened, and "Armara Rose Jekisaki” nicknamed “Amy” stepped onto the platform, sunlight spilling across the concrete like it was welcoming her personally.

Tokyo.

She took it in with sharp eyes and a lifted chin. Neon signs. Crowds flowing like a living organism. Noise, motion, life. This was the place she and Belle had talked about back when everything felt too small, too quiet, too suffocating.

I made it, she thought. You’d better still be out there.

Outside the station in Harajuku, two first-years waited.

Ogilville Maurice Irodati—Sonic—paced in loose circles, hands tucked behind his head, eyes darting between passersby. Next to him stood Shadow Tenzen, perfectly still, arms folded, gaze fixed forward as if nothing in the city was worth his attention.

Sonic broke the silence first.

“So... seriously. That’s it? Three students?”

Shadow didn’t look at him. “Jujutsu sorcerers are rare. First-years even more so.”

“Yeah, but still,” Sonic said. “Feels kinda empty, y’know?” He tilted his head. “I thought I was the third one to show up.”

“The acceptance came earlier,” Shadow replied. “She just arrived late.”

Before Sonic could respond, a familiar pressure settled over the street—like the air itself had decided to pay attention.

“Wow,” a voice said cheerfully. “You two look alive. That’s good.”

They turned.

Silvo Satoru stood behind them, hands in his pockets, blindfold gleaming white against the daylight. He looked pleased with himself.

“Sonic,” Silvo continued, “the uniform fits you perfectly.”

Sonic glanced down. “Yeah, uh—thanks? Why’s it got a hood though?”

“I custom ordered it,” Silvo said proudly. “Thought it matched your vibe.”

Shadow sighed.

“She asked to meet here,” Silvo added. “Harajuku. Fashion capital. Makes sense.”

Amy was already arguing with an octopus mobian holding a camera.

“I said to interview me,” she snapped, hands on her hips. “Do I look like fucking background material to you?”

The man stammered something about scouting models.

“That’s what I thought,” Amy said sharply.

“Found her,” Silvo announced.

Amy turned—and froze.

“...Why are you dressed like that?” she asked, staring at Silvo’s blindfold.

“Fashion,” Silvo replied without missing a beat.

She narrowed her eyes, then shrugged. “Weird city.”

After stuffing her bags into a nearby coin locker, she faced the group properly.

“I’m Amy,” she said. “And you should consider yourselves lucky. Having me as the woman of the group is a privilege.”

Sonic blinked. “Uh—hi?”

“Shadow,” Shadow said flatly.

Amy looked between them once.

“...Oh great. One looks like he eats crayons and the other looks like he listens to My Chemical Romance on loop. Is this a school or a clearance rack at a thrift store?”

She turned away, already bored.

“Since we’re all together for the first time,” Silvo said, clapping his hands, “how about a tour of Tokyo?”

Sonic’s eyes lit up. “Roppongi?”

Amy smirked. “Finally.”

They arrived instead at a rotting building near a cemetery.

Amy stared. “...You’re joking.”

“Cemeteries,” Shadow explained, “are places people associate with fear. That association manifests curses.”

Amy shot him a look. “What kind of sorcerer doesn’t already know that?”

Sonic scratched his cheek. “The kind that ate a cursed finger.”

She recoiled. “You what?”

“Don’t worry about it,” Silvo said lightly. “This is a field test. For Amy—and Sonic.”

He tossed Sonic a combat knife .

“annihilation devil. A cursed tool.”

Sonic caught it. “Nice.”

“And,” Silvo added, smiling, “no Fleetway.”

Sonic stiffened.

“Consider it a rule.”

Inside, Amy immediately pointed upstairs. “I’m going that way. You take downstairs.”

“That’s a bad idea,” Sonic said.

She kicked him backward.

“Didn’t ask limp loser.”

He landed on his feet, stunned sonic responding "well sorry saggy tits no ass having biiiiaaaacchhhhh"sonic rolled his eyes and turned to the side just in time for a curse to drop from above. Instinct took over. One clean swing. The blade tore through malformed flesh, and the curse dissolved.

Amy confronted a possessed mannequin. She raised her hammer, and a ball of thin thread “Come out ugly fucker,” she said coldly.

The curse hesitated—until another presence approached. It seized a nearby child.

Amy froze.

Logic screamed at her to retreat.

Instead, she lowered her weapon.

“...Fine,” she muttered.

The curse laughed—and then Sonic crashed through the wall, severing its arm in one motion. He grabbed the child and leapt back.

“Now,”

Amy said. She hung the doll with the threads and tossed it into the air as she SLAMMED her hammer into the doll

. “linked.”

The curse gets slammed into the wall—and vanished.Later, Amy spoke of Saori. Of villages that suffocate. Of Tokyo as escape.

“If I stayed,” she said, “I’d be dead.”

Sonic nodded. “Fair enough.”

They returned the child. Silvo offered dinner.

“I forgot my bags,” Amy said. “Sonic, go get them.”

He refused.

They argued.

Shadow stared at his phone.

“He’s pouting,” Silvo said cheerfully patting shadows head. “He wanted in.”

The city buzzed on
