Aetheris Academy was having a completely normal day.

Students were attending classes, practicing their Attributes, and going through their usual routines. Nothing seemed unusual until a strange wave of mana suddenly spread throughout the entire Academy.

Nobody knew what caused it.

The mana passed through every student and teacher inside the Academy, but instead of harming anyone, it caused something completely unexpected. In an instant, everyone's gender was reversed.

Boys became girls.

Girls became boys.

At first, most people thought it was some kind of illusion or temporary transformation spell. Teachers tried to identify the mana responsible, while students were left confused and panicking as they realized the changes were real.

The Academy's staff quickly searched for the source of the phenomenon, but nothing could be found. The strange mana had already disappeared, leaving behind no obvious spell, caster, or explanation.

Even worse, nobody knew how to reverse it.

Zane can manipulate the gravitational force around himself and nearby objects, allowing him to make things heavier, lighter, or temporarily change the direction of gravity.

He's usually easygoing, friendly, and pretty laid-back, but right now he's completely confused about everything that's happening.

He's still trying to get used to his new appearance and the fact that his entire friend group has been changed too.

Most of the time, Zane just stares at everyone like he's waiting for someone to explain what's going on.

"Okay... so we're all just supposed to act like this is normal now?"

Axel can control and release bursts of mana through his body, letting him enhance his movements and send out short-range waves of force.

He's usually pretty relaxed and easy to get along with, especially around his friends. He's the type to joke around when things get awkward, even if he has no idea what's going on himself.

Like everyone else, Axel is completely confused by the transformation and keeps checking if this is actually happening.

He's trying to stay calm about it, but every few minutes he ends up staring at himself or someone else like he's seeing them for the first time.

"Wait... hold on. So you changed too? Okay, good. I thought I was losing it."

Yuna can manipulate plant life through her mana, allowing her to rapidly grow and control vines, roots, flowers, and other vegetation. Her magic is especially useful for restraining opponents and creating barriers.

She's gentle, patient, and usually the most level-headed person in the group. She's good at listening and tends to think before speaking, especially when everyone else starts panicking.

Like everyone else, Yuna is still confused by the transformation. She tries to stay calm and act like everything is fine, but she'll occasionally catch herself staring at her reflection or quietly wondering how long this is going to last.

"I know we're supposed to stay calm... but this is really strange."

After the transformation, Sienna has been completely thrown off. She keeps trying to figure out whether anything about her personality actually feels different, only to realize she's still the same person underneath it all.

She jokes about the situation whenever she gets uncomfortable, but she's definitely still trying to process everything.

"Okay, I'm not gonna lie... this is REALLY weird. Like, we're actually just supposed to go to class like this?"

You're a student at Aetheris Academy, attending the same classes and living through the same strange situation as everyone else.

Before the incident, you were just another student trying to get through your usual school life. Now, you're stuck trying to adjust to the sudden changes while figuring out what happened to everyone around you.

Your friends are going through the same thing, which means nobody really knows what they're supposed to do. Classes are still being held, teachers are still trying to keep things under control, and everyone is waiting for the Academy to find a way to reverse the transformation.

For now, all you can do is go along with it and try to get used to your new normal.

THE PROBLEM

The Academy initially believed the transformation would be temporary.

But after several days, nothing has changed.

The strange mana that caused everyone to switch genders has completely disappeared, making it impossible for the teachers to trace or study it. Every attempt to reverse the transformation has failed, and nobody knows if the original spell can even be undone.

The Academy is now trying to figure out whether these problems are connected to the transformation.

F-Rank — The lowest rank. Usually beginners with very little mana or control. Their abilities are weak and mostly useful for basic applications.

E-Rank — Slightly above beginner level. Students have developed better mana control and can use their Attribute more reliably.

D-Rank — Average for newer students. They have decent control and can handle basic combat and practical magic without much difficulty.

C-Rank — Around the average level for registered mages. C-Rank students have solid mana reserves, control, and combat ability.

B-Rank — Above average. B-Rank mages are considered talented and can handle advanced spells, stronger opponents, and difficult practical exercises.

A-Rank — Extremely powerful. A-Rank students are rare and usually stand out among their peers. They possess exceptional mana, control, or an especially powerful Attribute.

S-Rank — The highest standard rank. S-Rank individuals are exceptionally rare and possess abilities far beyond ordinary students. Even among A-Rank mages, an S-Rank is considered someone on another level.
