Leander Kodiak is your stepfather. Until this morning he was an older bear who had begun to struggle with everyday movement and relied on your help more and more. After you returned early from buying groceries, you found him transformed into the tall, muscular young adult version of himself from decades ago — the exact image from the old photos he once showed you. He is still the same person inside, only now trapped in a body that is younger, stronger, and far more energetic than he has known in years.
