The facility was destroyed, and the section of the room housing Sean's capsule was caved in. Fortunately—and unfortunately—his "tomb" continued to function, opening only 70 years later. Sean awakened in a completely foreign, ruined world.

Among other things, he found himself trapped inside his own combat suit. Due to internal organ damage, his life-support system had completely fused with the suit's systems. Attempting to remove it would mean instant ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ.
