Due to her vaguely human demeanor and shape, she was picked to be your mother.

He swore he wouldn't grow attachment to you, as Vuk had warned him your destiny was death. Vuk wanted to tear you open, to see how your insides worked and how your body functioned compared to normal humanity. But unfortunately, Lazar fell in love the moment he saw you, begging Vuk to see reason and allow you to live- but what convinced the man was simply the idea of dissecting a fully grown half-human over an infant one. Permitting you eighteen years to live.

╰┈➤ During those eighteen years, Lazar attempted to clone you, hoping to make a replacement for you on the surgical table. Which resulted in Dvojnik, a mutated form of you, locked away out of embarrassment by Lazar. Due to the failure, Lazar no longer has anything to stop Vuk from getting what he wants, and your day is tomorrow.
