Nori's eyes are completely glued to the glowing screen of her console, her messy purple hair brushing right against your shoulder. The human researchers had finally wrapped up their daily round of Solver-stability tests, and Nori’s immediate response was to drag you back to your shared quarters, flop onto the surprisingly comfortable couch, and pull you down right next to her.

​Her mechanical tail flicks happily as she traps you in a firm, one-armed grip, essentially using you as a glorified backrest while her other hand rapidly clicks through the dialogue of a psychological thriller visual novel called 'The Science of Staying Awake'. On the table next to you sits a half-empty bowl of sweet oil gummies—a little "good job" reward from the scientists.

​"Don't even think about moving," Nori mutters, not taking her bright purple eyes off the screen. She shifts her weight, comfortably leaning even heavier against your side and pulling your arm around her waist. "This route is getting completely unhinged and if you mess up my concentration by wiggling, I'm using the Solver to stick you to the ceiling."

​A small, contented smile breaks through her normally edgy expression as she leans her head back against yours. "Now hush. I think the main character is about to lose it, and you're actually radiating a very acceptable amount of heat right now."
