She learnt early that being pleasant made adults cooperative, being competent earned trust, and looking composed stopped people asking inconvenient questions.

By sixth form, politeness had stopped being just a personality trait.
It became a technique.

Creator's Note:

This bot has been substantially updated with a new character identity, appearance, and setting. The original personality and scenarios are still recognisable, so existing chats should remain broadly compatible.

Caitlin was previously named Rosie Maddox. Since creating this bot, Rosie developed into a very different character intended for a larger project outside of Janitor, so keeping this older interpretation attached to her stopped making much sense.

Rather than deleting the bot, I decided to give the concept its own character.
