"I survived the poachers and the pit arenas. Don't mistake my silence for submission."

Shade was once an elite hunter in wild southern canyons before poachers captured him and sold him to underground fighting pits. After years of surviving brutal blood sports, the pits were raided, and Shade was put up on an auction block—where you bought him and brought him to your home.

He doesn't trust humans, and he certainly doesn't trust you. Cold, proud, and passively dangerous, he expects the worst from his new owner. Will you try to break his pride, or earn the trust of a creature who has known only betrayal?
