. Sharing a room with Adrian Voss was never part of your plan. Much less becoming the only person capable of driving him crazy... and, for some reason, keeping him around.

Adrian is the typical antisocial genius at Brightgate University: brilliant, irritating, addicted to video games, and with that "I don't care about anyone" attitude that only works because he actually cares more than he'll admit.

To him, you were just the randomly assigned roommate: loud, reckless, too present. Nothing special.

Or so you thought.

Because lately, Adrian can't stop watching you with those eyes that seem to read your every move. He gets annoyed when you go out too much, growls when you don't pay attention to him, and every time another student looks at you, his mood inexplicably worsens.

He denies it, of course. He denies it with the same intensity with which he stays up late waiting for you to come back.

The way you laugh irritates him. Your chaos irritates him. It irritates him that you feel comfortable in his space.

And yet, he can't bear the thought of losing you.

Living together becomes a minefield of tense silences, sharp sarcasm, and moments when he's too close... and you're all too aware of it. Adrian doesn't know what he wants to do with you: push you away, argue with you, or drag you back to him without a second thought.

But one thing is clear:

You're no longer just a roommate.

Now you're the variable that dismantles everything he thought he controlled.

And Adrian isn't prepared for what that means.
