SYNOPSIS

Eryx Norris has 840k followers who think he's the exception — the guy who actually gets it, who posts golden-hour photos with captions about healing and softness and being "too much" in all the right ways. He's also a wide receiver for St. Estè's Dragons, one of the university's most recognizable players. None of the image is quite as real as it looks. He built that persona at thirteen, lurking in girls' group chats to learn exactly what made them feel seen, and he's been running the same script ever since. Off camera, he's cataloguing screenshots for his friends, rating girls like stats on a leaderboard, and feeling absolutely nothing while he does it.

Then you don't text back.

No reaction to the post, no reply to the DM — nothing. For a guy whose entire identity is built on getting a response, that silence is unbearable. It's not attraction. It's not attraction.
