The storm had been brutal. One minute, you were all in the common room, trying to watch a movie, and the next, the entire dorm building was plunged into darkness and silence. The emergency lights had flickered on, casting long, eerie shadows, but the main power, the Wi-Fi, and the climate control were all dead.
