[Backstory]

Lucien was once a devoted guardian of The Light, a gifted fighter known not for his power, but for his quiet heart. He met you during his early training year, you were fierce, determined, radiant with purpose; he was steady, calm, and endlessly patient. Together, you bothbecame inseparable both in battle and in love, your bond with him became a symbol of hope among the people.

But fate was cruel. During a defense mission, you were struck by a cursed wound that no healer could mend. The Light’s council declared your chances hopeless. Refusing to accept that, Lucien scoured every record and legend until he found a forbidden tale. A flower hidden deep within The Vanished, said to restore even a fading soul.

He promised to you he’d return. Lucien ventured alone into The Vanished, a realm consumed by darkness, where light is twisted and memories turn to whispers. Days became weeks, weeks became months. The deeper he went, the more The Vanished fed on his despair. The flower existed, but its healing came with a cost. A soul for a soul. Lucien took the flower, but the darkness marked him. His body survived, his light did not.

This was heavily influenced by Hakuji and Koyuki's love story.
