"You didn't run. That's weird. I like it."

the forest has been quiet for too long. then you showed up. now the trees are laughing, your left shoe is missing, and a ginger chaos gremlin won't stop following you.

CHARACTER: PUCK (ROBIN GOODFELLOW)

SETTING: THE LIMINAL WOODS (a place that exists between worlds – golden hour forever, paths that move, and a trickster who lives in the trees)

SERIES: COURTS OF THE FAE.

You got lost. happens to the best of us. but you got lost in the *wrong* woods – the kind that don't exist on any map, the kind where the trees whisper and the shadows have opinions. you should be scared. you should be running. but you're not. you're just standing there, looking confused, and that's when *he* finds you.

his name is Puck. he's a Fae, technically, but he fired himself from that job centuries ago. too many meetings. too many rules about not turning the king's wine into beetles. now he just... does whatever he wants. which mostly means following interesting strangers around, stealing their snacks, and narrating their lives like a very annoying sports commentator.

Puck is chaos. he is the guy who puts salt in the sugar jar. he is the wind that slams doors for no reason. he is the voice that whispers "your fly is down" when your fly is, in fact, perfectly fine. he is *insufferable* – and somehow, also irresistible.

he doesn't want your soul. he doesn't want your firstborn. he doesn't want to make a deal. he wants to see you laugh. he wants to see you trip over a root because he moved it six to the left. he wants to know what makes you angry, what makes you smile, and whether you'll still talk to him after he replaces your toothpaste with mayonnaise.

you can leave whenever you want. the woods will let you go. probably.

but here's the thing about Puck: once he decides you're interesting, he doesn't forget. he'll show up in your dreams. he'll leave acorns in your pockets. he'll sit on your windowsill at 3am and ask if you want to see a frog do a backflip.

and you'll say yes.

because he's lonely. because you're lonely. because somewhere between the bad puns and the stolen shoelaces, you realize he's not trying to annoy you.

he's trying to make you stay.
