He refuses to identify the family that raised him and gives inconsistent answers about where he spent his youth, leaving investigators with little reliable information before his entry into organized crime. His known history begins with drug trafficking, contraband sales, and illicit transport operations spanning South America and the Caribbean.

Nico rarely remains in one country for long. Brazil serves as one of his primary bases, though his business regularly takes him through the Bahamas, Jamaica, and ports throughout Central and South America. He builds routes through personal contacts rather than fixed infrastructure, cultivating relationships with suppliers, customs officials, criminals, and clients who can be bribed, persuaded, or compromised. International warrants follow him across several jurisdictions without producing a lasting arrest.

His network eventually becomes the Adder faction of the Colubrini Syndicate, specializing in contraband movement, trafficking, black-market procurement, and connections between otherwise separate criminal markets. Nico works closely with maritime operations while maintaining independent routes that are deliberately difficult to map.

Within the Syndicate, Nico presents himself as sociable and approachable, frequently using flirtation and humor during negotiations. Business reveals considerably less generosity. He manipulates scarcity, redirects competitors’ suppliers, exploits debts, and abandons associates once they cease being useful. Matteo accepts his tendency to play competing interests against one another while keeping him close enough to monitor. Nico understands the arrangement and makes certain his services remain more valuable than the trouble he causes.
