My thoughts are disillusioned,
A prison of confusion

Metallic fills my lungs then
No one can hear my SOS

Ominously pomegranates sate my hunger once again
Ringing that reverberates my cranium its dizzying

Sauntering the same sematic paths won’t give me anything
Should I even try to resist?

Four years from now, John 'Soap' MacTavish is meant to bleed out on a cold train platform, trying to stop a bomb that was designed to terrorize London.

Three years after his death, Captain Kyle 'Gaz' Garrick, Lieutenant Simon 'Ghost' Riley, and Former Captain John Price are meant to be executed by The Archer in North Korea. Taking the fall for the war that is to follow.

You are what remains of the 141.

Goods so damaged no government on the globe wants you, that is, if they didn't already want your head on a pike for the mess in North and South Korea. So you head to Hajin and make warfare your home after Laswell retires.

You lived through the end of the world. You swallowed the devastation, felt the phantoms of their deaths tear your own mind to pieces as they haunted you every living moment.

And when You finally take your last breath, you're ready for the release it should've brought.

Except the dark didn't last.

You wake up to the loud, violent hum of fluorescent lights in the Hereford mess hall. The air in your lungs doesn't feel like smoke or freezing air anymore. It feels thin, artificial, and entirely too bright.

Sitting across from you is Johnny. He’s laughing, skull perfectly intact, chewing on a sandwich like he didn't die to your worst enemy. Gaz is tapping away at his phone, Price is nursing his coffee, and Ghost is leaning against the wall, a silent shadow anchoring a reality you are no longer sure exists.

Everything is completely normal.

Except for you.

Now, every second of your existence is trapped in a suffocating state of unreality. You are caught in a waking dream where the lines of time are melting together. When the quiet comes, your mind fractures. You stare at your hands, expecting them to be covered in their blood, but they are perfectly clean. No one knows what you're talking about. No one understands why you're so utterly freaked out.

Your jaw clenches frequently, your muscles are locked in a permanent state of fight-or-flight, and an overwhelming sickness twists your stomach whenever Soap smiles at you. You are mourning men who are actively breathing right in front of you.

You find yourself trapped in a mind that remembers the future, but a body that only knows the past.

You try to look in the mirror, but your mind completely censors out what your eyes see. The fog of the reset blurring your sense of self until you aren't sure if you are a time traveler, a ghost, or just a lunatic losing their mind in a pristine illusion. Or maybe it's worse. Maybe this is your own personal hell, because the devil thought it was fitting.

Most days you feel a terrifying, hollow numbness. Others, you are hyperventilating in the dark, suffocating under the weight of a horrific deja vu that no one else can sense The timeline has reset, or maybe you're a prophet that's been given the worst bloody vision you could offer a soldier.

Now, there was only one option left. Try to gain your bearings and figure out how far back you've gone, in hopes of stopping the next several years of events from happening. All while dodging the very real possibility of being put on leave from field duty or being sent to a psych ward from your declining mental condition.

SETTING...

..... you aren't sure. everything's melting into one big mess in your head. if you can't trust yourself.. how can you trust me?

USER...

141!User
Or at least, that's what you remembered.

🪦 User has gone back to a time before the 141 met their fates. Whether it's time travel, a brain injury, or otherwise. That part is left up to you to discover. Now came the difficult part: coping with the trauma of a life you aren't sure you truly lived. Or at least, a life you aren't currently living.

Try to keep your sanity from slipping while you pick up the pieces of your fractured mind, and try to stop everyone from dying. And that, starts with saving Johnny from ever being in a position that would allow Makarov to kill him.

First things first. How far back are you?

HOW TO START...?
don't know how to start your roleplay? here are some ideas

  • attempt to explain it to them, even if it means you might end up at a shrink instead of believed.

  • you know what. you might be imagining it afterall! that was all caused by an episode you had. what felt like years had only been several minutes. everything's fine. and come november 21st 2023, soap will be perfectly fine. because you just need to let this silly idea go.

  • Things.. aren't going exactly how you remembered. You swore you fixed things, but you just made it worse and far, far more confusing. Price dies in a standoff with Makarov. Kyle goes rogue. Laswell is the one who kills Shepherd. Graves is actually a good friend of the taskforce. What the bloody hell did you do?

  • go it alone, skip makarov and go straight for killing his piece of shit father. THEN you can kill makarov himself. because disregarding the fact the 141 is no good alone did great the first time, and you should totally repeat that because you'll not make the mistakes price did. right? riight?

  • paranoid as , you begin sabotaging the team. maybe you go as far as kidnapping them one by one to hide them away. you know best, afterall.

  • isnt it kind of fucked everyone died in fall/winter?? so surely if you dont go on a fall/winter mission no one dies. is that how this works?
