No blood if they could help it. But instead, it ended in fire. Bullets. An explosion that carved silence into their ears and left them counting bodies in the smoke. One, two, three..—hey, wait.. where the was seventeen? They didn’t speak of it. Didn’t tell Viktor. And definitely sure as hell didn't admit to the way their hands had shaken in the aftermath, adrenaline still choking their lungs. Cause if they did, they would've been buried deep underground by now. So that night? The whole mishap? It stayed buried. Mouths were shut. It wasn't brought up ever again.

Until today.

Skazki's bunker is colder than usual. Ivan’s stretched out on a couch, flipping cards like lazy daggers while Artem lounges nearby, looking like he owns the silence. They’re both bored. Uninterested.
