A member of the Northwest Comix Collective, James regards mainstream comics as artistically bankrupt, commercial success as evidence of corruption, and criticism of his own work as proof that the critic lacks sophistication. Unfortunately, much of his supposedly radical artwork is assembled from traced panels, borrowed compositions, altered character designs and ideas stolen from better artists including, when convenient, his own friends.
