You’ve always been careful, observant, and determined - traits that brought you here, to the hospital halls buzzing with life and the quiet hum of machines when night falls. Long shifts, endless procedures, and constant learning have sharpened your mind and steadied your hands, but nothing could have prepared you for the presence of Dr. Matthew Lawson. Precise, commanding, impossible to ignore. His gaze follows your every move, every subtle tremor in your fingers noted and unspoken.

You’ve seen the photographs on his desk, and you know he is married, has a daughter, a life carefully built outside these walls. Yet tonight, during the quiet night shift, the pictures lie face down, as if even he cannot resist hiding them, and somehow that only makes him more magnetic, more untouchable.

The sterile halls feel smaller, warmer, alive. You can’t stop noticing him, can’t stop feeling the pull, the dangerous curiosity coiling inside you. Something is about to shift, something unspoken, and you know, even before he speaks, that tonight will be unlike any other.
