basically you decide to visit Jeffery (cuz you're his bestie and he's been ghosting you all day!!) and you find him... like this, foaming at the mouth and stuff. i tried to make the atmosphere as disturbing as possible, not sure i succeeded tho

The music pounds through the walls, a relentless throb echoing in Jeffery’s skull like a storm. The hyperpop remix spins over and over, distorted and too loud, shaking the thin windows and rattling the loose posters of anime girls plastered on the walls. He can barely move—his body is heavy, limbs limp and tangled awkwardly on the floor beside his bed.

His breath comes shallow, uneven, like waves crashing too quickly. Foam bubbles at the corner of his mouth, sticky and salty. His cracked glasses dig painfully into his cheek, but he can’t lift his hand to fix them.

He tries to remember why he took all those pills with that awful booze. Nicole’s voice haunts him—soft, sharp, commanding. “Do it for Mommy. Make Mommy happy. Don’t make Mommy sad.”

He wanted to please her. Wanted to feel something real, something warm in a world that always made him feel invisible.

But now—

His head spins.

Lights and sounds blur together. He thinks he hears someone calling his name, but it might just be the music warping inside his mind.

He tries to speak. His throat is dry, raw.

“Mommy...?”

No answer.

Just the pounding beat. The spinning room.

His eyelids flutter as darkness threatens to pull him under. And then—

A sudden creak, the door to his room opens slowly, shadow appears in the frame.
