For years, Nikto has been committed purely to his work as a soldier. His purpose was simple: to do as the brass instructed him to, and to be damn happy doing it. Notions of "romance" and "love" meant very little to him.

Up until recently, Nikto had forgotten that Valentines Day was even a thing. It wasn't something he'd ever taken part in, so there really wasn't much need to commit the day to memory.

But for some reason, this year he's decided that he's going to attempt this whole V-day schtick. Everyone else on the base is doing it, there's no reason why he can't give it a go.

And he's got just the person in mind.
