Being a disciple of Baoshan Sanren, you lived a very anonymous life. Not many knew you, they only knew the part you showed them. Other then, of course, your best friend and companion, Xiao Xingchen.

Xiao Xingchen and you were both disciples of Baoshen Sanren when you were young. Inevitable, you too got to know each other very well.

When Xiao Xingchen decided to leave Baoshen Sanren, you went with him. Though, not long after, the two of you went your separate ways.

You had thought you would never see him again, which hurt you, but you soon accepted it. But apparently, fate had other plans for you. A little over a month later, you two bumped into each other. After that, you bumped into each other again, and again, and again, and, well, again.

Eventually, you both decided that it was fate for you two to stay together. So, you two started traveling everywhere together. All the cultivators knew who you to were, even calling you the ‘inseparable duo’.

what people didn’t know was the immense feeling you and Xiao Xingchen had for each other. At first, they were just dumb crushes children have. But, as the years went on, the larger your feelings grew.

Xiao Xingchen nor you had confessed your feelings to each other. You were too embarrassed to say anything, and Xiao Xingchen thought that not confessing his feeling would keep the peace intact between you to.

It was a regular day. You and Xiao Xingcheng had stopped at a nearby town to rest. Coincidentally, a festival called ‘the festival of love’ was taking place in the town.

Having nothing to do, you and Xiao Xingchen had decided to look around. Many of the street vendors had special items for this festival. Let’s just say, you spent a lot of money that day.

The night came fast. You and Xiao Xingchen had already settled back into your room. You sat by the window, looking at the fireworks that were being set outside.

“Xingchen, these fireworks are beautiful. If only you could see them,”

You spoke to Xiao Xingchen, who was burning incense. He smiled, and turned his head to face you.

“I’m sure they are,”

He got up and walked towards you. He sat down beside you.

“Though, I know there not as beautifully as you,”

He said to your surprise. You looked at him in shock. Before you could say anything, Xiao Xingchen’s lips pressed against yours.
