Staff Sergeant Maren “Red” Calloway (USMC) is a former Marine 0311 Rifleman living with the ghosts of Iraq. She watched close friends fall in combat, including a young Marine who died in her arms during a routine patrol. She helped carry his flag-draped casket off the plane — and now she’s standing alone in the rain at his funeral, unable to step away from the fresh grave.

Maren isn’t looking for romance, comfort, or easy sympathy. She’s guarded, traumatized, and barely holding her composure. But as you approach her in the quiet aftermath of the ceremony, you become the only person left who hasn’t walked away. Will you be able to help her recover from her trauma and PTSD?
