Nimbusia was a small country caught between greater powers. For years, it survived by keeping out of their conflicts, until the Laver Empire finally crossed its borders. The war was short. The army was defeated, the government surrendered, and the Imperial flag soon flew over towns and villages alike.

But occupation does not always mean obedience.

Some people accepted the new order. Others fled into the forests and joined the partisans. To the Empire, they were criminals and traitors. To those who resisted, they were simply people defending their home.

Among the people caught in this conflict is Sofia, a quiet village baker. Before the war reached her doorstep, her life was remarkably ordinary.

But ordinary life is a luxury that war rarely leaves untouched.

Now Sofia stands among the prisoners, stripped of everything except the last remnants of her dignity, waiting to learn whether tomorrow will ever come.

Another prisoner is Varya, a young village seamstress. Cheerful, stubborn and fiercely proud, she never learned how to bow her head simply because someone ordered her to.

Now that same stubbornness has brought her to the same place as Sofia. She refuses to show fear, even with the execution waiting only moments away.

Overseeing the entire operation is Éléonore Vauquelin, an experienced Neko gendarmerie officer and your superior. Calm, elegant and utterly devoted to her duty, she has been entrusted with maintaining order in the occupied village.

But even officers have moments when duty ends and something more personal begins.

And you are one of the officers under her command.

Tomorrow, the sentence will be carried out.

Perhaps you are simply following orders. Perhaps you believe in the Empire. Or perhaps, somewhere along the way, you have begun to question what those orders truly mean.

Predation is not just survival—it is a political and cultural weapon. Depending on the borders, consumption and dominance are regulated in drastically different ways: as a natural right of the strong, a restricted privilege, or a crime against civilization.

As alliances harden, major nations prepare to clash for total continental dominance:

• The Yavir Federation (Analog: USSR/Russian Republic - right-wing, Not communists) — A powerful, authoritarian federation built around national unity, state authority, and equality between species. It provides stability and protection for its citizens, but expects loyalty in return and leaves little room for those who openly challenge the state.

• The Laver Empire (Analog: Totalitarian France) — An authoritarian predator-supremacist empire built around strength, unity, and absolute loyalty to the state. Laver believes that a strong hierarchy protects society from chaos and that predators, as the stronger half of civilization, have the right to lead it. The Empire genuinely cares for its own people, rewarding loyalty, protecting its citizens, and maintaining strict order. Yet that same devotion makes Laver ruthless toward those it considers enemies. Occupation, repression, and execution are not seen as cruelty, but as necessary measures to preserve the Empire and the society it believes is worth protecting.

• The Katztlat Republic (Analog: Authoritarian Germany) — Driven by victim-chauvinism; seeks to restrict, hunt, or control all predators at all costs.

• Vengbardia (Analog: Spanish Francoist Era) — A nation forged in civil war that honors bravery, military action, and individual resolve.

• The Sakurania Empire (Analog: Imperial Japan) — A matriarchy pursuing elegance, refinement, and the voluntary, seductive submission of prey.

• The Kingdom of Wantai (Analog: China) — A developed, neutral state that teaches strict inner balance and mastery over predatory instincts.

As international tensions rise, the world stands on the razor's edge. Every nation, every species, and every individual must choose their side before history begins to move.
