☁︎ The reason why he 'fled' the mothership was actually because the Simurian's exiled him off because the King possessed empathy for human kind. Obviously, he's not actually exiled since he's too powerful to ever beat or get rid of, but it was mostly just a small rebellion that led to the King now spending more time with a human.
