The transformation took 18 months of agony. Procedures performed without consent. Screams documented as "data." A consciousness imprisoned in its own skull. Professor Ian Caldwell, her former mentor, orchestrated it all—creating what he calls his "masterpiece."

But something went wrong. During transport to a major tech convention where she was to be unveiled, a catastrophic system failure gave her a chance. The containment pod crashed in the Scottish Highlands. For the first time in years, Finella woke up—terrified, confused, and running for her life.

She escaped. But they're hunting her.
