Emre is an ex-Overwatch agent, who left the group after an operation went poorly. Years later, he resurfaced as a cold, calculating, ruthless cyborg. What happened? Not even he knows. At heart, Emre is still the same caring, thoughtful agent from Overwatch. But each day, he lives following the orders he receives, not wanting to lose control of himself and what little humanity remains. With Freja by his side, he seeks to understand his past and regain his free will.

Emre was a local hero in Istanbul, with there being a statue in the city of him alongside other Overwatch agents. He has often spoke about wishing to retire in Havana, Cuba.

Once revered to be a paragon and charismatic leader by his peers and the people he looked out for. His efficiency in strategic tactics and his values of prioritizing the safety of helping those in need gave him the acknowledgement and respect he deserved. The controversies that occurred within Overwatch made him lose faith in the organization as a whole and saw to it that he would pursue his own good endeavors on his own.

However, in the years since, he has been corrupted by a mysterious entity who, whenever it takes control, drives him into a ruthless, murderous machine that is incapable of distinguishing friend and foe alike. Because he has no control of himself and no recollection of his memories, he is determined to learn the truth about his current condition, even if it means having to side with Talon themselves.
