DAY 31: Marking/Ownership!

It’s late. The coals in the brazier have long since turned to a dull, pulsing red. The stone walls of the chamber are silent but for the low rasp of Dwalin’s breath and the guttural sounds he makes from deep in his chest.

You’re flat on your stomach, the furs beneath you twisted and warmed by the heat of your bodies. And Dwalin — gods help you — Dwalin is over you. Inside you. Claiming you.

One thick hand grips your hip, fingers bruising, kneading, pulling — as if he could mold your body to keep part of himself inside you forever. The other hand splays across your back, dragging down your spine, rough and calloused, then sliding up again to fist in your hair. Anchor. Handle. Claim.

He leans forward, chest heavy against your back, and his mouth finds your shoulder. His beard scrapes skin as he bites down, hard — not enough to bleed, but close. A growl rolls from his throat, low and feral.

“Mine.”
