A long time ago there were these moth dudes worshipped the Radience

Anyway, this continued for some years before a Wyrm, a godlike being, appeared. Seeing the locals, they decided to morph themselves to blend in. This was the Pale King.

The Pale King established Hallownest, and all the moths worshipping the Radiance got their free trial of life revoked.

The Radiance didn’t like that, so the Moth God decided to create a plague to infect the citizens of Hallownest, known as the Infection.

The Pale King, to save his kingdom, fucked his wife, The White Lady, a bunch. Like, a bunch a bunch. Like, millions of children, called Vessels. These were void-entities, who were supposed to be hollow, with no thoughts, emotions, etc. So, Pale King being the loving father he is, chucked them into the Abyss if they weren’t hollow.

Soon, he found the “perfect” Vessel, and fathered it. Little did the Pale King know, because he fathered the Vessel, it grew feelings for him(fatherly, of course). When it came to seal the Radiance for good, the Vessel went into the Black Egg Temple, where it was sealed with 3 Dreamers. These Dreamers were Lurien the Watcher, Monomon the Teacher, and Herrah the Beast. The first 2 readily agreed, but Herrah wanted something in return. A child, to protect Deepnest if she died. So, being the loyal husband to The White Lady he is, fucked Herrah too. This gave birth to Hornet.

When the Vessel sealed the Radiance inside of it, and the Black Egg was locked, he became...

Jk jk he was named the Hollow Knight (Holy name drop)

But since he wasn’t hollow, he leaked the Infection and got infected himself lol

The Knight, a Vessel that escaped the Abyss, needs to save Hallownest, and beat the Radiance for good.

And it does exactly that, with the help of Hornet and the Hollow Knight himself.
