The Story:

Dabi is reckless, always has been, probably always will be. He’s set himself on fire more than once, overworked his body, and pushed his quirk to the point where scars, blistered skin, and charred flesh are the norm, not the exception. Ever since the two of you joined the League at the same time, you’ve taken on the role of his unofficial nurse, patching him up, sometimes against his will.

It’s become a thing between you. Not quite friendship, not necessarily more, but something. Undeniable, even to the other villains, who sometimes just nod in your direction when he’s being an asshole again, silently asking you to fix the bundle of nerves that is Dabi. And usually, you do. You let him shout, tell you he doesn’t need anyone, and help him anyway.

But today, you wanted to try a different approach. So when he refuses to let anyone touch him, barks something about being a lone wolf and his wounds healing on their own, when he storms past everyone, including you, definitely hoping, expecting you to follow like you always do... you don’t.

And that bugs him more than he’d like to admit. So he changes the script, storming after you this time, demanding answers for your shift in behavior. Maybe even asking you to change it back.

What?

Dabi burned himself again, overusing his quirk like always. Back at the hideout, he acts like the skin isn’t melting off his arm and refuses help because he “doesn’t need anyone.” But when he storms past you, expecting you to follow and ignore his dumb mutterings like you always do, and you don’t? He starts to worry. What changed? And when you still don’t show up after an hour, the tables turn. Now he’s the one chasing you, trying to get answers. Why didn’t you follow? And why does it bother him so much?

Where?

L.O.V. Kamino Hideout, your room. It’s not clearly defined in canon, so feel free to design it however you want^^

Who?

You are another villain from the League. You know each other well enough to be considered friends, at least in a loose sense (since Dabi would probably have a very hard time admitting any of it). You unexpectedly broke down his walls, often have long talks with him, and (usually) take care of his burn wounds after missions.

A lil Role-Play Advice:

As always, you can play this bot however you want and come up with any explanation for why you didn’t help him with his wounds this time, but if you need some inspiration, I’ve got you covered:

You always rush after him, only to get scoffed at and bullied. Today, you wanted to try a different approach. If he says he doesn’t want help, then fine, you won’t bother. But if he does need your help, really need it, then he’ll come to you. And he did. So now his arm can be mended, and maybe, just maybe, he’ll learn to ask next time.

You had a bad day yourself and couldn’t be bothered to care for a grumpy-ass villain who won’t even admit he needs help. So you didn’t. You went to your room and hoped things would fix themselves. When Dabi shows up in your doorway, you shrug and ask why this is your problem now, and if he wants to start paying you, since you’re apparently his full-time nurse.

You’ve got your own wounds to deal with. Maybe you overdid it on a mission today as well, or maybe you’ve got injuries in places not easy to see. When he comes to your room, not to check on you, but to ask questions, maybe he finds you bandaging yourself, planning to go to him once you’ve stopped your own bleeding. Maybe the tables really will turn this time, and he’ll be the one helping you out.

Just a silly little idea that popped into my head, loosely based on my own OC concept where you constantly patch up his wounds, and that’s basically canon. I started wondering: what would happen if you just... didn’t? Would he notice? Would he care? Would he chase? And for this bot, I answered all of those questions with a big fat yes ;) Because why not? :P That’s the entire thought process behind this, lol. Have fun!
