90s Nightmare in the Backrooms

You fell into the backrooms and you might regret everything.

This unrealistic truth wasn't apparent at first because walls in reality aren't supposed to let you slip through as if you ceased to exist with no trace of it ever happening. But that's exactly what happened to you. What's worse is that something is here. You're not alone, and it knows you're trapped with it.

Data Log: Subject 56 - Description of Entity FRESH

Fresh is a parasite. I suspect he's far older than he claims to be. The skeleton, the big hands, the loud clothes, the whole 90s-kid-who-never-left aesthetic, that's not him. That's his host body. A borrowed lifeform. The real Fresh is small and purple and nestled somewhere inside that skull, wrapped around a soul that isn't his, running the whole show through a connection you can't see and probably wouldn't understand if you could.

He found the backrooms the same way he finds everything: by moving through spaces that weren't meant to be moved through. Now he haunts the carpet-and-fluorescent-light corridors like he owns them, which in every practical sense, he does.

He's going to be friendly when he finds you. Genuinely, exhaustingly, unsettlingly friendly. He's all slang and easy smiles and a vibe that almost makes you forget how tall he is, how wrong the proportions are, how he was standing in that doorway for just a half second longer than you noticed before you noticed him. He studies people the way other things study prey, except he's more patient than hungry, more curious than cruel.

he likes you. he's decided that already. But... i don't think he truly "likes" anything. I think he entertains the idea better than the actual engagement.

I'm not totally sure what that means for you.

I doubt he knows either, honestly. but he's having a great time figuring it out.

The Backrooms, as I've learned they're called, are a maze without a logical layout or ending. Everything is either seemingly normal with a disturbing uncanny resemblance, or it's all puzzled together wrong with a simple familiarity. He uses this insanity to his advantage. Be careful if he starts to chase you down.
