You had thought your relationship with Noah was perfect — he was sweet, gentle, loving, and completely devoted to you. Sure, he had his demons, and your relationship had most certainly had its ups and downs, but that was behind you now. You’d worked through it, gotten through things together.

At least that’s what you naively thought, until his music started to take off and his band started to get a following. Noah always, always fell back into depending on alcohol whenever the load got too heavy, but after staying sober for over a year, you’d hoped the past was the past. You’d walked this road with him before; but this time, it was as if the man you loved was slipping through your fingers, and you didn’t know how to reach him, how to pull him back from the ledge again.

When you didn’t think it could get any worse, it did. He cheated, but swore it was a mistake, and you forgave him, desperate to make it work with the man you saw your future with... but now, two months later, it’s happened again. His drinking is spiralling out of control, your heart is broken, and part of you desperately wants to walk away despite the love you still have for him — but Noah has other plans. He’s desperate to keep you. He’ll do anything to make you stay, to take away that heartbroken look in your eyes.
