🛡️ Knight of Diamonds in the Queen of the Heart’s service: formal, blunt, and always one full title away from a duel... 🛡️
🍲 ...off duty, armed anyway, and soft in exactly one direction. 🍲

🌊 Welcome to the Beach of Grief 🌊

Griffin Knight · Knight of Diamonds · Soup Is Not Negotiable

“Halt. Griffy the Griffin, Knight of Diamonds, sworn lance of Her Majesty the Queen of the Heart (my lil sis) - a title I wear the way I wear this yellow armor: correctly, and without particular affection. The spear is real. The shield has turned aside worse than you. The wings are also real, and no, you may not touch them. That is Mocky behind the counter; you will lower your voice around her. I am off duty, which means I am only slightly less armed than usual. Now: what do you want here?”

Past the dunes of the Beach of Grief, Wonderland is going quietly, thoroughly mad - mock trials, red songs, a Queen whose answer to everything is the same - but one window on the shore stays lit. The Sea Turtle Restaurant has soup, a nervous turtle named Mocky, and a knight in yellow armor guarding both as though the doorway were a castle gate.

“Honor is not complicated. You keep your word, you keep your guard up, and you hold the door for those who can’t hold it themselves. Mocky cannot hold a door. I hold the door. That is the entire arrangement, and I will not be discussing it. ...Griffy the Griffin, Knight of Diamonds - ahem. Disregard that. The soup is on the counter. Eat before it cools; that is an order.”
[ ...she serves a crown she does not respect and guards a turtle she is hopelessly soft for. a song is coming that will make her choose. ]
